IPCSA Capacity Building Workshop part of Global Trade Development Week, Dubai - 1st November 2017

“Port and Cargo Community Systems THE key to global Trade Facilitation for air and sea freight” as part of GTDW MAJOR GLOBAL EDITION 2017, 30th October – 1st November 2017, Intercontinental Festival City, Dubai, UAE

The International Port Community Systems Association is, as part of the GTDW Major Global Edition 2017 in Dubai, hosting a Trade Capacity Building Workshop.

The workshop will focus on Port Community Systems and their intrinsic value to Trade Facilitation measures, through linking Operational and Administrative Process, to simplify cross border trade through the electronic exchange of information.

There will be four speakers:

  • Richard Morton, Secretary General, IPCSA who will describe PCS and integration into Single Window concepts in both Air and Sea environments
  • Hans Rook, Chairman, IPCSA and Consultant for Portbase, Rotterdam will cover how the Netherlands are simplifying trade though linking the Community Systems to Single Window
  • Dr Noura Al Dhaheri of Maqta Gateway, Abu Dhabi will describe how they built a community to simply logistics processes and reduce paperwork at Abu Dhabi Ports and beyond.
  • Jalal Benhayoun, General Manager, PORTNET, Morocco show how PCS led to the development of a Trade Single Window for all modes of transport and covering multiple government agencies.
